With the hope of Resurrection in Christ, we inform that Sister Bernadine, was called home to God on February 22, 2026 at the age of 91. She was a member of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth for the past 75 years. Sister Bernadine dedicated her life to the education ministry for 60 years, serving as a teacher, principal, and later as the Director of Religious Education in schools and parishes throughout Chicagoland, including St. Ladislaus Parish. The funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at the Provincialate of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth in Des Plaines, IL. We will pray for the repose of her soul on Sunday Masses on March 1, 2026.
Eternal rest grant her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen.
